The second in the series of the only arts festival dedicated to women in South Asianvisual and performing arts, KALYANI 2021 pivoted to virtual during the pandemic. Workshops featured Gond and Phad styles of traditional art led by exponents Saroj Venkat Shyam and Kritika Joshi. Evening performances featured Assamese folk singer Juthika Barman, Sattriya dance exponent Anwesa Mahanta, Baul singer Parvathy Baul and a Hindustani sitar recital by UK-based virtuosa Roopa Panesar. The event was co-presented by SAA with the Consulate General of India in Hong Kong and the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, and generously supported by Mrs. Purviz Shroff and the Late Mr. Rusy Shroff as Platinum sponsors.
