Conducted by Jayang Jhaveri, this workshop introduced university students of music to the fundamentals of Hindustani music from an aesthetic (rather than a purely technical) point of view. Important facets of Hindustani music were brought to life through video and audio clips and live singing. The workshop was followed by vocal performances by students Freya Mignon and Ria Schmidl, and was supported by the generosity of the Chellaram Foundation.
